Rabobank team asked for a lightwieght, still, alternative geometry bike for longer distances and rougher roads. The all new Defy Advanced SL is the answer. Built with Advanced SL Grade composite and system engineered with the new PowerCore bottom bracket and Overdrive 2 headtube for max efficiency and razor sharp handling, along with a longer wheelbase and a taller headtube for optimal positioning, It goes the distance and it goes fast
Frame Technology
A Giant Advanced SL grade (T-800) frame forms the heart of this ultra high performance beauty. Laid up by hand, every Defy Advanced SL adds road smoothing comfort to the aggressive racing performance. The bike lets you hammer out more miles with greater ease.
The new Defy Advanced SL includes the same technical upgrades as the TCR Advanced SL, including the Toray T-800 carbon fiber blends, updated Fusion construction method, the Continuous Fiber Technology lay-up techniques, an integrated seatpost and carbon fiber dropouts and bottom bracket sleeve.
The OverDrive2 front end, MegaDrive down tube shaping, and PowerCore extra-wide press-fit bottom bracket design make their way over as well but the frame shape has overall been tweaked to lend more vertical movement and a generally smoother glide over rough ground. Wispy climber-types will be especially interested to hear that the Defy Advanced SL will actually be Giant's lightest road frame for 2012 with a claimed weight of just 799g plus 330g for the matching fork.

Giant and Specialized Bicycles cannot be sold online. All Giant and Specialized Bicycles must be picked up from the store as an assembled bicycle. We do offer a reboxing service at $30 per bike. We are unable to ship Giant or Specialized Bicycles outside of the Christchurch area, however you may organize this yourself at your expense providing the bike has been paid for in store.

You may return any item you purchase in new condition in its original packaging
for a full refund within 14 days of delivery. Items that have been used or clothing
that has been worn will not be refunded.
We will pay the return shipping cost if the return is a result of our error. We'll
notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned
item. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase
within 7 business days of us receiving your return.
Please contact us for any returns and for a return number (RMA) before sending any
goods. Any items that are returned without a RMA will be sent straight back without
a refund. Return freight to Chain Reaction Cycles is the purchaser’s responsibility.
