With a FACT 11m carbon chassis, progressive XC geometry, 120 mm of rear travel and a Ride Dynamics-tuned FOX FLOAT Factory shock, it is designed to climb hard, carry speed and stay composed when the trail gets rough.

Fast Up, Confident Down

The Epic 8 EVO combines efficient pedalling with genuine technical-trail capability. Progressive geometry, a stiff carbon chassis and 130 mm fork compatibility give it the control to push harder on descents without losing the sharp acceleration and climbing ability that make an Epic so fast.

Ride Dynamics-Tuned Suspension

The FOX FLOAT Factory rear shock is custom tuned by Specialized Ride Dynamics to work with the frame’s leverage curve and updated suspension kinematics. The result is active suspension for traction and bump control, while reducing unwanted pedal-induced movement when you are driving forward.

More Comfortable at Speed

Compared with the previous generation, the Epic 8 EVO is designed to absorb more trail vibration and bump force. That means less fatigue through rough singletrack and more confidence to keep riding hard when others are backing off.

Ready for a Custom Build

SWAT 4.0 in-frame storage keeps essential tools and ride gear tucked neatly into the downtube. An integrated steering stop helps protect the top tube when the bars spin in a crash, while the frameset format gives you freedom to choose the wheels, drivetrain, brakes and cockpit that suit your riding.

Key Features

FACT 11m carbon frame

120 mm rear travel

Compatible with a 130 mm suspension fork

Ride Dynamics-tuned FOX FLOAT Factory rear shock

Progressive XC geometry for downcountry riding

Efficient suspension kinematics with active bump control

SWAT 4.0 downtube storage

Integrated steering stop

Who Is It For?

For riders who want the speed and efficiency of an XC bike with more confidence, travel and control for technical singletrack, fast descents and all-day trail riding.

Our Thoughts

The Epic 8 EVO makes a lot of sense for riders whose local trails are too demanding for a pure race bike, but who still value a light, quick and efficient platform.
