This collection brings together Maxxis tyres suited to cross-country and trail bikes, including the Rekon, Rekon Race, Forekaster Gen 2, Aggressor and Dissector Gen 2. Options range from quick-rolling tyres for flowing tracks and longer rides to more supportive treads for loose, rocky and technical terrain.
The Rekon Race is the fastest option here for firm trails and cross-country riding. The Rekon adds more all-round grip, while the Forekaster Gen 2 suits riders who want better control in loose or changeable conditions. The Dissector Gen 2 provides a useful balance of rolling speed, braking traction and cornering support for modern trail bikes. For harder and faster trail riding, the Aggressor works particularly well as a supportive rear tyre.
Check the selected variant carefully, as each tread may be available in different wheel sizes, widths, casings and rubber compounds. Folding, tubeless-ready and wire-bead versions are not interchangeable, even when they share the same tread name.
