Two Epics for many different riders.
Race-focused XC bike
Rockshox with Specialized Brain
Fast and capable XC/trail bike
Rockshox with adjustable geometry
The fast and capable XC/trail ripper.
Rockshox metric shock with flip chip. No Brain.
The Evo has a new Rockshox shock in non-proprietary metric sizing with a custom Rx-Tune and no Brain. While the Brain still works really well for the race version of the Epic, the Evo has moved towards the aggressive end of the XC spectrum where you want a more active suspension on the trail.
Full carbon frame with progressive geo numbers.
The new Evo has a beautifully made carbon frame with the cleanest internal cable routing, threaded bottom bracket and a Rider First Engineered layup giving all sizes of riders the best ride characteristic possible. Its geometry is very progressive with a 66.5° head angle that's not too far off a Stumpjumper. The flip chip allows you to sharpen that up by a half degree for a more racy handling if you chose. With 120mm of front travel and 110mm in the back, the Evo is fast and fun, but efficient and lively.
66.5° head angle.
All models full carbon.
