A practical way to bring your dog along for the ride.
The Allen Deluxe Dog Bike Trailer carries one medium-sized dog or several smaller dogs weighing up to 30kg combined. It is a good option for trips to the park, easy recreational rides or dogs that cannot comfortably run alongside a bike.
The non-slip rubber floor gives your dog a more stable surface as the bike accelerates, brakes and turns. There is an internal leash attachment, a wide rear door for loading and a zipped sunroof for airflow and visibility. A storage pocket at the back holds smaller items such as a lead, waste bags, treats or a collapsible bowl.

Bike Compatibility
The included coupler fits most conventional bikes. It will also work with many e-bikes, but “universal” does not mean every rear axle.
If your bike uses a thru-axle, internally geared hub, hub motor or another less common axle system, check compatibility before ordering. Some bikes may require a model-specific adaptor or replacement thru-axle.
Getting Your Dog Used to the Trailer
Give your dog time to get comfortable before heading out for a proper ride. Start with the trailer sitting still, let them climb in and reward them once they settle. Follow that with a few short, slow rides somewhere quiet.
Attach the internal leash to a correctly fitted harness rather than a collar. Adjust it so your dog can sit and lie down comfortably but cannot jump from the trailer.
Our Thoughts
A dog trailer is a good way to keep an older or smaller dog involved in family rides, but it pays to take the introduction slowly. Some dogs are happy straight away, while others need a few sessions before they relax properly.
An e-bike makes the towing easier, particularly on hills, but the trailer’s weight still changes how the bike handles. Allow more room for braking, take corners steadily and keep your speed appropriate for the surface and your dog’s comfort.
We would also check the coupler connection and internal leash before every ride. Those quick checks only take a moment and are especially important if the trailer is regularly removed from the bike.
