The essentials for bleeding SRAM DOT, Avid and older Formula hydraulic brakes.
The Bleedkit Basic Edition, model BK-80010, is a compact bleed kit for SRAM DOT-fluid hydraulic brakes. It includes two syringes, M5 fittings and a Bleeding Edge assembly, covering both older SRAM M5 bleed ports and later SRAM brakes with a Bleeding Edge port.
It is also suitable for Avid brakes and older Formula systems. Brake fluid and a bleed block are not included.
One Kit for Older and Newer SRAM DOT Brakes
The two M5 assemblies cover older SRAM brakes, while the Bleeding Edge assembly suits compatible 2017+ SRAM DOT brakes. That makes this a practical option when you work on more than one generation of SRAM brakes.
Important: This kit is for DOT-fluid brake systems. Do not use DOT fluid in mineral-oil brake systems, and do not use mineral oil in DOT brake systems. It is not compatible with Formula Cura brakes.

Our Thoughts
This is the better basic kit if you work on a mix of older and newer SRAM DOT brakes, rather than just a later Bleeding Edge system. The second M5 fitting is what gives it that broader compatibility. You will still need the correct DOT fluid and a suitable bleed block for the brake you are servicing.
