Complete DOT Brake Bleed Kit for SRAM Brakes with M5 or Bleeding Edge Ports.
The Bleedkit Premium Edge Brake Bleed Kit includes the fittings and tools needed to bleed compatible SRAM and Avid hydraulic disc brakes that use DOT brake fluid.
Both an M5 fitting and a Bleeding Edge fitting are supplied. This allows the kit to work with selected older SRAM and Avid brakes as well as newer SRAM brakes fitted with the larger Bleeding Edge bleed port.
Please Note: Brake Fluid Is Not Included
You will need the correct DOT brake fluid specified by the brake manufacturer. Check the instructions for your exact brake model before starting the bleed.
SRAM Bleeding Edge Compatibility
SRAM’s Bleeding Edge system uses a dedicated fitting that connects directly to the bleed port on compatible brake calipers. It helps provide a cleaner connection and allows the port to be opened and closed without removing the fitting during the bleed.
The supplied Bleeding Edge assembly is intended for compatible SRAM DOT-fluid brakes generally produced from 2017 onwards. Compatibility still depends on the exact brake model and caliper.
M5 Bleed-Port Compatibility
An M5 assembly is also included for compatible older SRAM and Avid DOT-fluid brakes that use a threaded M5 bleed port. Check the port type before beginning, as not every SRAM brake uses the same fitting or brake fluid.
DOT Fluid Only
This kit is for compatible brakes that use DOT brake fluid. It is not suitable for SRAM DB8, Maven or other brakes that use mineral oil.
Never use this kit with mineral oil and keep all syringes, hoses and fittings separate from mineral-oil bleeding equipment. Even a small amount of cross-contamination can damage brake seals and affect braking performance.

- 2 x 20 mL Becton Dickinson syringes
- 1 x M5 bleed assembly
- 1 x SRAM Bleeding Edge assembly
- 1 x bleed block for selected older SRAM brakes with two-piston or four-piston calipers
- 1 x bleed block for selected current SRAM brakes
- 1 x T10 Torx wrench
- 1 x 25 cm double-sided retaining strap
- 1 pair of nitrile gloves, size large
- Spare O-rings
Before You Begin
Confirm the brake model, required fluid and bleed-port type before opening the system. Remove the brake pads and use the correct bleed block to protect the pads from contamination and keep the pistons correctly positioned.

Our Thoughts
This is a useful home-workshop kit for riders with compatible SRAM or Avid DOT brakes. Including both M5 and Bleeding Edge fittings gives it wider compatibility than an Edge-only kit, while the two quality syringes make it suitable for SRAM’s two-syringe bleed procedure.
The important part is checking the fluid type first. SRAM produces both DOT-fluid and mineral-oil brakes, and the equipment used for the two fluids must remain completely separate.
