A Clean, Leverless Rear Axle for the Amflow PL Carbon.
The Burgtec Amflow PL Carbon 174mm Rear Axle replaces the original rear thru-axle on compatible Amflow PL Carbon e-MTBs. Its leverless design creates a tidy finish and removes the external handle found on a conventional quick-release axle.
Machined from 7075 aluminium, the axle has a 6mm hex fitting at both ends. One side is used for normal installation and removal, while the second provides another removal point if the primary fitting becomes damaged.
Amflow PL Carbon Compatibility
Burgtec lists this axle for the Amflow PL Carbon platform. It has a 12mm diameter and an overall length of 174mm.
Do not choose an axle by bike brand, rear hub spacing or overall length alone. The thread, shoulder positions and complete axle profile must also match the frame.
Remove the original axle and compare it with the Burgtec dimension drawing before ordering. If any measurement differs, do not attempt to force the axle into the frame.
Leverless Design
Removing the external lever provides extra clearance around the rear dropout and reduces the chance of a handle being knocked or caught while riding.
The axle is installed using a 6mm hex key, allowing a suitable torque wrench to be used. Always follow Amflow’s specified tightening torque rather than overtightening the axle.
A second 6mm fitting on the drive side provides a useful backup if the primary hex becomes rounded or difficult to use. The leverless design is clean and practical, but it is not an anti-theft feature.

Our Thoughts
This is a tidy replacement if the original Amflow axle is damaged or you want to remove the protruding quick-release handle. The second 6mm fitting is a sensible detail that can make removal easier if one end becomes rounded.
Compatibility still needs to be checked carefully. Match the complete Burgtec dimension drawing against the original axle before buying rather than relying only on the 174mm length.
