A clean, leverless Boost axle for 2021 and newer FOX 36 and FOX 38 forks.
The Burgtec FOX 36/38 2021+ Boost Front Axle replaces the standard axle with a strong, tidy leverless design. It is machined from 7075 aluminium and includes a Grade 5 titanium pinch bolt and backing nut.
A primary 6mm hex interface handles normal installation and removal, while a secondary 8mm fitting provides another removal point if the smaller interface becomes damaged.
Check Your FOX Fork Before Ordering
This axle is designed for the following forks:
- FOX 36, model year 2021 and newer
- FOX 38, model year 2021 and newer
It does not fit 2021 and newer FOX 32 or FOX 34 forks. Those models continue to use the axle design listed by Burgtec as its pre-2021 FOX Boost axle.
Compatibility is determined by the fork model, year and axle dimensions rather than the front hub alone. A 15×110mm Boost hub does not confirm that the thread and overall axle length will suit your fork.
Dual Hex Design
The primary 6mm hex fitting is used for regular wheel removal and installation. Burgtec also machines an 8mm hex interface into the axle, providing a backup removal option if the 6mm fitting becomes rounded or damaged.
The leverless design allows the axle to be installed using a suitable torque wrench and hex bit. Always follow the tightening procedure and torque specification supplied with your FOX fork.
7075 Aluminium Construction
The axle is machined from 7075 aluminium for a useful balance of strength, stiffness and low weight. Removing the external quick-release lever also creates a clean finish and provides more clearance around the fork leg.
A Grade 5 titanium pinch bolt and backing nut are supplied to complete the installation.

This is a tidy replacement or colour upgrade for a compatible FOX 36 or FOX 38. The 8mm backup fitting is a practical detail, particularly if the primary interface is ever damaged during wheel removal.
The fork year matters. If you have a 2021 or newer FOX 32 or FOX 34, select Burgtec’s pre-2021 axle instead. If you are unsure, check the fork serial number and model year before ordering.
