Super-Soft Rubber. Secure Lock-On Fit. Plenty of Trail Grip.
The Burgtec Josh Bryceland Bartender Pro Super Soft Grips combine a soft 18A rubber compound with a slim 31mm diameter and a secure single-clamp design. Developed with Josh Bryceland, they are made for mountain bikers who want plenty of traction and a cushioned feel through rough terrain.
Super Soft 18A Compound
The 18A rubber compound provides a soft, tacky feel in wet or dry conditions. Its textured surface gives your hands plenty to grip without requiring excessive pressure on the handlebar.
This is Burgtec’s softer compound option. It prioritises grip and comfort, although it may wear more quickly than a firmer rubber grip.
Cut-Away Internal Core
A large section of the internal plastic core is removed beneath the three outer fingers. This allows more of the rubber to flex directly against the handlebar, helping soften the feel through roots, braking bumps and rough trail surfaces.
The core remains reinforced around the inner locking collar, maintaining a secure connection to the handlebar when correctly installed.
Josh Bryceland Grip Pattern
The omnidirectional pattern uses raised ridges to provide traction across different hand positions. The pattern changes around the thumb and index-finger area to support control while braking and shifting.
With a 129mm grip area and 31mm diameter, these grips provide useful hand room without feeling excessively thick.

Who Are These Grips For?
The Bartender Pro Super Soft grips suit trail, enduro and downhill riders who prioritise traction and a softer feel through the hands. The 31mm diameter is a good option for riders who prefer a relatively slim grip rather than a bulky or heavily padded design.
Our Thoughts
These are a good choice if you like a soft, tacky grip but still want the security of a lock-on design. The cut-away core is a clever feature because it lets the rubber move more freely beneath the outer fingers rather than leaving your hand resting entirely over a rigid plastic sleeve.
The trade-off is durability. The Super Soft compound will generally show wear sooner than a harder grip, particularly with regular downhill riding or gritty gloves. That is a reasonable compromise for riders who place grip and feel ahead of maximum lifespan.
