Burgtec Titanium Offset Shock Hardware changes the effective eye-to-eye length of a compatible rear shock. Depending on how it is installed, it can slacken or steepen the head angle and raise or lower the bottom bracket.
It is a useful option for riders looking to make a measured geometry change without replacing the frame or shock. Compatibility and clearance must be checked carefully before installation.
How Offset Hardware Works
The mounting hole sits away from the centre of the hardware. Rotating this offset changes the effective position of the shock within the frame.
Shortening the effective eye-to-eye length generally slackens the head angle and lowers the bottom bracket. Installing it in the opposite direction can produce the reverse effect.
Burgtec states that a compatible installation can change the head angle by approximately 1 to 1.5 degrees. The actual change depends on the frame design, shock position, hardware size and whether offset hardware is fitted at one or both shock mounts.
Check Compatibility Carefully
Offset hardware is not suitable for every bike. Check the required mounting width, bolt diameter and shock-eyelet type before ordering. The frame, linkage and shock must also have enough clearance throughout the full suspension travel.
Each piece is sold individually. Some applications use one offset fitting, while others may use compatible hardware at both shock eyelets. Do not assume that two pieces can be fitted safely without checking the frame.

Offset hardware can make a noticeable difference to how a bike handles, particularly when you want a slightly slacker front end and lower bottom bracket. However, it is not a universal upgrade and the result varies considerably between frames.
