A Bigger Penthouse Platform for Large Feet and Hard Landings.
The Burgtec Penthouse Flat MK5 B-Rage Edition is a larger version of the standard MK5 flat pedal. Its 112 × 102mm platform adds 12mm of front-to-back length, providing more support for riders with larger feet and those tackling downhill, freeride and bike-park terrain.
Three additional centre pins improve contact through the middle of the shoe, while the 7075 aluminium body, EN24T steel axle and fully serviceable internals are built for demanding use.
Larger 112 × 102mm Platform
The B-Rage platform measures 112mm long and 102mm wide. The additional length provides more room beneath the shoe and spreads pressure across a larger area.
This can be particularly useful for riders with larger shoes or anyone who finds a standard-sized flat pedal leaves part of their foot unsupported. Riders with smaller feet may find the regular Penthouse Flat MK5 easier to position and less likely to catch rocks.
Concave Shape with 11 Pins per Side
A 3mm concave shape helps settle your shoe into the centre of the pedal. Eleven replaceable stainless-steel pins on each side provide grip around the perimeter and through the middle of the platform.
The three centre pins distinguish the B-Rage from the regular MK5 and provide additional contact beneath the centre of the shoe. Each pin measures 4mm wide and stands 5mm high.
CNC-Machined 7075 Aluminium Body
The pedal body is machined from 7075 aluminium, a strong material suited to repeated impacts and hard riding. Its 18mm profile balances ground clearance with enough material to support the larger platform.
At approximately 513g per pair, these are not lightweight trail pedals. The extra weight comes with the larger platform and heavy-duty construction, so riders prioritising low weight may be better served by the standard MK5 or a smaller pedal.
EN24T Steel Axle
An EN24T steel axle provides the strength required for aggressive gravity riding. The axle runs on two Igus W300 bushes and a single sealed bearing, with an inboard rubber oil seal helping keep dirt and moisture away from the internals.
The internal parts and pins are serviceable, allowing worn components to be replaced rather than discarding the complete pedal.

Who Are These Pedals For?
The B-Rage Edition suits riders with larger feet and those wanting maximum support for downhill, freeride, enduro and bike-park riding. The bigger platform also makes sense for riders using substantial flat-pedal shoes with broad soles.
They are less suitable if you have smaller feet, regularly ride through narrow rocky gaps or want the lightest possible pedal. In those cases, the standard Penthouse Flat MK5 may be the better choice.
Our Thoughts
The B-Rage is not simply a standard MK5 with different graphics. The longer platform and centre pins create a noticeably larger contact area, making it a proper option for riders who feel cramped on conventional pedals.
The trade-off is its 513g weight and the increased chance of catching the larger platform on rocks. If you genuinely need the extra foot support, that compromise makes sense. If the standard MK5 already suits your shoe size, there is little reason to move to the larger model.
Whichever version you choose, pin height and shoe choice make a considerable difference. These pedals work best with a proper flat-pedal shoe using a soft, grippy rubber sole.
