Reinforced Alloy Strength for Downhill and Bike-Park Riding.
The Burgtec Ride Wide Alloy DH Handlebar is made for downhill, freeride and bike-park riders who need a strong bar for rough tracks, larger impacts and high-speed riding. It uses a reinforced aluminium construction with an 800mm width and comfortable Ride Wide shape.
Both versions have a 30mm rise. Choose between a 31.8mm and 35mm centre clamp to match your stem.
Built for Gravity Riding
The DH handlebar uses additional material in key areas compared with Burgtec’s lighter Ride Wide Alloy Enduro bar. This increases weight but provides the more substantial construction expected for demanding downhill and freeride use.
The 31.8mm version weighs approximately 365g, while the 35mm version weighs approximately 350g. If your priority is saving weight on a trail or enduro bike, the Ride Wide Alloy Enduro may be the more suitable option.
800mm Width with Cut-Down Marks
The bar is supplied at 800mm wide, providing plenty of leverage and stability through rough terrain. Suggested cut-down marks make it easier to shorten both ends evenly if the full width does not suit your bike or riding position.
We recommend riding the bar at full width first, then removing only a small amount from each side at a time. Make sure there is enough straight bar remaining for your grips, brake levers, controls and lock-on collars.
30mm Rise and Comfortable Sweep
The 30mm rise provides a useful amount of cockpit height without moving into high-rise handlebar territory. It can help create a centred position on steep terrain, although the final hand height also depends on the frame, fork, stem and headset spacers.
A 9-degree backsweep and 5-degree upsweep angle the grips into a natural hand position. Handlebar roll changes the effective sweep and height, so begin with the alignment markings centred in the stem and make small adjustments from there.
Choose the Correct Clamp Diameter
The handlebar is available with either a 31.8mm or 35mm centre clamp. These sizes are not interchangeable, so check the diameter marked on your existing handlebar or stem before ordering.
A 35mm handlebar requires a 35mm stem, while the 31.8mm version requires a 31.8mm stem. Follow the stem and handlebar manufacturers’ torque specifications during installation and tighten the faceplate bolts gradually and evenly.

Our Thoughts
The Ride Wide Alloy DH is the version we would choose for a dedicated downhill or bike-park build where strength takes priority over saving a few grams. Its 800mm width provides plenty of control, while the 30mm rise and familiar Burgtec sweep create a comfortable starting position.
For a general trail bike, the lighter Enduro model will usually make more sense. Whichever version you choose, check the stem clamp diameter carefully and take a conservative approach if shortening the bar.
