A Clean, Leverless Rear Axle for Compatible Santa Cruz, Juliana and Trek Bikes.
The Burgtec Santa Cruz 173.7mm Rear Axle replaces the original rear thru-axle on a wide range of compatible Santa Cruz and Juliana mountain bikes. Burgtec also lists several Trek applications using the same axle dimensions.
Machined from 7075 aluminium, the axle has a leverless design for a tidy finish and improved clearance around the dropout. A 6mm hex fitting at both ends provides a second removal point if the primary fitting becomes damaged.

Frame generations can use different axle designs, so check the version and original axle reference before ordering.
Important Hanger Compatibility
The included hanger bolt is compatible with a SRAM UDH hanger. It is not compatible with the Santa Cruz alloy derailleur hanger fitted to some of the bikes listed above.
The 173.7mm axle can still work with a compatible frame using the Santa Cruz alloy hanger, but the supplied UDH hanger bolt must not be used with that hanger. Retain or source the correct hanger hardware for the frame.
Check Your Axle Before Ordering
This axle has a 12mm diameter, measures 173.7mm overall and uses an M12 × 1.0 thread. It is generally used with compatible 12 × 148mm Boost frames, but rear hub spacing alone does not confirm fit.
Compare the length and thread with the original axle. Useful Santa Cruz references include HWQASM00S2155S, QR1961, 08-22209 and 08-22210. Listed Trek references are W600321 and 411K12B18TR002.
