The Burgtec Cloud DH Saddle is designed for downhill racing and bike-park riding, where freedom of movement matters more than long-distance seated comfort. Its short 230mm length and narrow 126mm width provide plenty of clearance when moving behind or around the bike.

Air Foam cushioning provides support between runs, while reinforced TPU tabs protect vulnerable areas around the saddle’s edges. Black ED-coated CrMo rails provide a strong and dependable connection to the seatpost.

Compact Downhill Shape

The Cloud DH is noticeably shorter and narrower than Burgtec’s Cloud Boost and Cloud MK2 saddles. This compact shape reduces the chance of the saddle catching on shorts or getting in the way as you move around the bike on steep and technical terrain.

At approximately 249g, it keeps weight sensible while retaining durable CrMo rails and useful padding..

Air Foam Cushioning

Burgtec’s Air Foam cushioning provides padding for time spent sitting between race runs, waiting for a shuttle or pedalling across shorter linking sections.

This is not a heavily padded comfort saddle. It has been shaped around downhill riding, where most of the run is completed out of the saddle and rider movement takes priority over support for long seated climbs.

Reinforced Edge Protection

Reinforced TPU tabs protect vulnerable areas around the saddle. This is particularly useful on downhill and bike-park bikes that are regularly transported on shuttles, leaned against other bikes or put down beside the trail.

The protection cannot prevent every type of crash damage, but it helps the saddle cope with the knocks and abrasion associated with regular gravity riding.

CrMo Rails

The Cloud DH uses sturdy CrMo rails with a black ED coating. The round rails fit conventional seatpost clamps designed for standard metal saddle rails.

Check the seatpost clamp is compatible and follow the manufacturer’s torque specifications during installation. Saddle position still matters on a downhill bike, so allow enough clearance for full suspension compression and tyre movement.

Our Thoughts

The Cloud DH makes sense on a downhill race bike or dedicated bike-park build. Its short, narrow profile stays out of the way when you are moving around the bike, while the reinforced edges are a practical addition for a saddle that will see regular shuttle and race use.

We would not automatically choose it for a trail or enduro bike that involves plenty of seated pedalling. The wider Cloud Boost or Cloud MK2 will generally provide a more supportive platform for longer rides.
