A fast carbon gravel bike built for racing and big days out.
The Cannondale SuperX 3 is made for riders who like to push the pace when the road turns to gravel. Its lightweight carbon frame, SRAM Rival XPLR AXS wireless shifting and DT Swiss carbon wheels make it a sharp choice for gravel events, fast group rides and long training days.
With 40 mm Vittoria tyres and Cannondale’s stable OutFront steering geometry, the SuperX has the grip and control to keep moving when the surface gets loose.

Carbon Frame Built for Speed
The SuperX carbon frame combines a low-drag shape with a responsive feel for accelerating, climbing and riding at pace. Cannondale’s Proportional Response construction adjusts the carbon layup across the size range to suit different riders.
Internal cable routing keeps the frame tidy, while the 68 mm BSA threaded bottom bracket and UDH-compatible rear derailleur mount use practical standards for servicing and component replacement.
SRAM Rival XPLR AXS
SRAM Rival XPLR AXS gives the SuperX crisp wireless electronic shifting with a simple single-chainring setup. The 13-speed 10–46T cassette is paired with a 42T chainring, providing a useful range for rolling gravel, faster road sections and climbs.
Rival hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled stopping power when the surface is loose or the weather changes. An SRAM AXS charger is listed with the bike, so you can keep the derailleur battery ready for your next ride.
DT Swiss Carbon Wheels
DT Swiss ERC LOG 45 carbon rims bring a 45 mm depth and 22 mm internal width to the SuperX. They are paired with DT Swiss 370 hubs and Vittoria Terreno T50 700 × 40c tyres for a fast-rolling setup suited to gravel and mixed surfaces.
The rims and tyres are tubeless-ready, and tubeless valves are listed as included. Sealant and final tubeless setup may still be required. Talk to our workshop if you would like help getting the bike ready to ride tubeless.
Control When the Gravel Gets Loose
Cannondale’s OutFront steering geometry combines a relaxed head angle with a 55 mm fork offset. The aim is a front end that feels stable at speed and on loose surfaces while still responding quickly when you need to change your line.
The SuperX is also suited to cyclocross. Fit an appropriate set of cyclocross tyres and it is ready for racing between the tape as well as longer gravel events.
Delta Steerer and Conceal Stem
The Delta Steerer and Cannondale C1 Conceal stem route cables neatly through the front of the bike. A compatible accessory mount for a Garmin or Wahoo computer is listed with the bike.
The C1 Aero 27 carbon seatpost uses a D-shaped profile designed to add compliance at the saddle while keeping the frame’s streamlined look.
Room for Wider Tyres
Cannondale lists clearance for tyres up to 48 mm at the frame and 51 mm at the fork, giving you options if your preferred gravel routes call for more volume than the supplied 40 mm tyres.
The frame is the limiting point when choosing tyres for both wheels. Actual tyre width and clearance depend on the tyre, rim and setup, so check before fitting wider tyres and allow extra room for mud.

Our Thoughts
The SuperX 3 is the Cannondale we would look at if riding fast is high on your list. It has a race-focused frame, carbon wheels and a 13-speed drivetrain, but still has enough tyre clearance to handle more than smooth, hard-packed gravel.
Compared with the Topstone, the SuperX has a more direct race-bike feel and does without Kingpin rear suspension. If you spend long days on rough roads and comfort is the main priority, the Topstone may be a better fit. If you want a lighter-feeling, responsive bike for racing and fast rides, the SuperX is worth a closer look.
