Description

A supportive all-round MTB saddle with a longer sitting platform and generous centre relief.

The Chromag Lift is designed for riders who want a supportive trail saddle with plenty of usable space to find a comfortable position. At 146mm wide, it's similar in overall width to Chromag's wider Trailmaster saddles, but the sitting platform extends further from front to back.

That longer platform gives you more room to adjust your position during seated climbing and longer rides. A larger centre relief channel helps reduce pressure through the middle of the saddle, while the narrower nose gives you a little more clearance when pedalling and moving around the bike.

The Lift uses Chromag's vacuum-moulded construction with a seamless synthetic cover. This gives the saddle a smooth, supple surface with clean edges and no exposed stitching around the main sitting area. Chromoly rails provide straightforward strength and durability underneath.

Why Choose the Chromag Lift?

The Lift is the one we'd look at if you want a bit more room to move your seated position around. The 282mm length gives you a longer usable platform than a short-profile saddle, which can be handy on longer climbs where you naturally shift forwards and backwards depending on the gradient.

The larger centre relief channel is also worth considering if pressure through the middle of the saddle has been an issue for you in the past.

Our Thoughts

The Lift is probably one of the easier Chromag saddles to recommend for general trail riding because it isn't trying to be overly specialised. There's a good-sized platform underneath you, plenty of centre relief and enough length to move your seated position around on a climb.

We also like the narrower nose. It's a small detail, but if you've ever had the nose of a saddle rubbing the inside of your thighs while pedalling, you'll know why it matters.

As always, don't choose it simply because 146mm sounds like the right width. Your sit-bone width and riding position still matter, and two saddles with the same overall width can feel very different once you're actually sitting on them.
