The Chromag Trailmaster LTD takes the proven shape of the standard Trailmaster and finishes it with a heavier, richly oiled Italian leather cover. Underneath, it's still the familiar trail saddle with a supportive sitting platform, medium-firm padding and a shape that gives you plenty of room to move around the bike.
The 140mm-wide platform has a relatively flat sitting area designed to support your sit bones, with central relief to help reduce pressure through the middle. The nose has additional padding, which comes in handy when you're sitting forward on steep, technical climbs.
Around the outside, the Trailmaster has a smooth, rounded profile without sharp edges to catch your shorts as you move around the bike.
The LTD's heavier leather cover gives the saddle a firmer feel than the standard leather Trailmaster and adds a distinctive finish that should develop its own character with use. Chromoly rails provide proven strength and durability underneath.

Our Thoughts
There's something nice about a proper leather saddle on the right bike, and the Trailmaster LTD is one we'd happily put on a steel hardtail, custom build or trail bike where the details matter.
More importantly, though, it's still a Trailmaster underneath. You get the same supportive platform, padded nose and rounded shape that works well when you're moving around on technical trails.
The 140mm width won't be right for everyone. We'd choose the LTD because the Trailmaster shape fits you first, then choose it over the standard version because you like the feel and finish of the heavier Italian leather.
