The Burgtec Enduro MK3 Stem is built for trail, enduro and gravity riders who want a solid connection between the handlebar and fork. This version is made specifically for handlebars with a 35mm centre clamp.

Choose from 35mm, 42.5mm and 50mm reach options. The forged and CNC-machined aluminium construction provides strength and stiffness without adding unnecessary weight, while stainless-steel hardware is well suited to regular riding in wet and muddy conditions.

Choose the Right Reach

• 35mm reach: Creates the shortest cockpit position and a direct steering feel
• 42.5mm reach: A useful middle option when 35mm feels too short but 50mm feels too long
• 50mm reach: Provides a longer cockpit position and places slightly more weight over the front wheel

Stem reach affects your riding position, weight distribution and steering response. Replacing your existing stem with the same reach is normally the safest choice unless you are making a considered bike-fit or handling change.

Forged and CNC-Machined Construction

The Enduro MK3 begins with a forged AL6061-T6 aluminium body before being fully CNC machined. Forging helps align the material structure for strength, while CNC machining creates the final shape and clamping surfaces.

Burgtec has increased the steerer-clamping area compared with its earlier Enduro stem, creating a firm and precise connection at the front of the bike.

35mm Handlebar Compatibility

This listing is for the 35mm-clamp Enduro MK3 Stem. It must be paired with a handlebar that has a 35mm centre section and will not fit a 31.8mm handlebar.

The stem fits a conventional threadless fork steerer. Check that the available steerer length, headset arrangement and stem dimensions suit your bike before ordering.

Installation and Torque

Burgtec specifies a maximum steerer-clamp torque of 6Nm. When using a Burgtec handlebar, the specified handlebar-clamp torque is also 6Nm. If using another handlebar, follow that handlebar manufacturer’s torque specification.

Tighten the faceplate bolts gradually and evenly with a suitable torque wrench. Keep the gaps between the faceplates and stem body even. Installation should be completed by a competent mechanic if you are unsure about compatibility or correct tightening procedure.

Check the handlebar clamp diameter before ordering. A 35mm stem may look similar to a 31.8mm version, but the two sizes are not interchangeable. We would also avoid changing reach simply to alter steering speed without considering the effect on your overall riding position.
