These custom mountain bike wheels combine Stan’s durable Flow EX3 rims with Chris King 6-Bolt hubs, Sapim Race double-butted spokes and brass nipples. They are built for enduro, downhill, e-MTB and aggressive trail riders who value impact resistance, dependable engagement and long-term serviceability.
Front and rear wheels are sold individually. Purchase one compatible front and one rear if you require a complete wheelset.
Each wheel is individually assembled by specialist wheel builders at the Wide Open workshop in Rotorua, New Zealand.
Stan’s Flow EX3 Rims
The Flow EX3 uses Stan’s Tiebeam triple-cavity construction to improve impact resistance and help the rim retain air during heavy strikes. Its low-profile shape balances lateral stiffness with enough radial compliance to avoid an unnecessarily harsh ride.
The 29mm internal width provides a suitable platform for trail, enduro and downhill tyres between approximately 2.35 and 2.8 inches wide. The rims use a durable bead-blasted black finish and are compatible with suitable tubeless tyres.
Chris King 6-Bolt Hubs
Chris King hubs are manufactured and assembled in Portland, Oregon. The rear hub’s RingDrive system provides quick engagement and the distinctive Chris King freehub sound.
The hubs use made-in-house bearings with heat-treated stainless-steel races. They are fully serviceable and designed for a long working life.
Chris King hub colours are available by enquiry and depend on current supply. Please contact us before ordering if you want a particular colour or matching front and rear wheels.
