Tough Alloy MTB Wheels Built Around Hope Pro 5 Hubs.

These custom MTB wheels combine Stan’s hard-hitting Flow EX3 rims with Hope Pro 5 hubs, Sapim Race double-butted spokes and brass nipples. They are designed for enduro, downhill, e-MTB and aggressive trail riders who want strength, dependable engagement and components that can be serviced properly.

Front and rear wheels are sold individually. Available options include a 29-inch front wheel, 29-inch rear wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel. Purchase one front and one compatible rear if you require a complete wheelset.

Each wheel is built by specialist wheel builders at the Wide Open workshop in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Stan’s Flow EX3 Rims

The Flow EX3 uses Stan’s Tiebeam triple-cavity construction to improve impact resistance and help prevent air loss during heavy rim strikes. Its low-profile shape balances lateral stiffness with radial compliance, giving you a strong wheel without an unnecessarily harsh ride.

The 29mm internal width is well suited to trail, enduro and downhill tyres between approximately 2.35 and 2.8 inches wide. The rims feature a durable bead-blasted black finish and are compatible with suitable tubeless tyres.

Hope Pro 5 Hubs

Hope Pro 5 rear hubs use a six-pawl offset ratchet system with 108 engagement points, providing a quick response when you get back on the pedals.

The forged aluminium hub shells are machined for strength and use sealed stainless-steel cartridge bearings throughout. Larger spoke flanges help create a stiff, supportive wheel build, while the six-bolt fitting suits widely available disc rotors.
