Stan’s Flow EX3 M-Pulse wheels are built for downhill, enduro, e-MTB and aggressive trail riding. They combine highly impact-resistant Flow EX3 rims with fast-engaging M-Pulse hubs, Sapim Race spokes and durable brass nipples.
Front and rear wheels are sold individually. Select the wheel and rear freehub option required. A complete wheelset requires one front wheel and one compatible rear wheel.
Flow EX3 Tiebeam Rims
The Flow EX3 uses Stan’s Tiebeam triple-cavity construction to brace the rim sidewalls against heavy impacts. This helps the rim resist folding during a hard strike, reducing the chance of sudden air loss or structural damage.
Its low-profile shape balances lateral stiffness with radial compliance, providing support through corners without making the ride unnecessarily harsh.
The 29mm internal width suits trail, enduro and downhill tyres between approximately 2.35 and 2.8 inches wide. The rims are made from durable 6069 aluminium with a welded joint and reinforced spoke bed.
M-Pulse Hubs
M-Pulse rear hubs use six magnetically actuated pawls with 216 engagement points. Only 1.66 degrees of rotation is required before engagement, providing a quick response through technical terrain and short pedal inputs.
The hubs use 17mm 7075 aluminium axles, Enduro bearings and adjustable bearing preload. Shielded construction provides additional protection from water, dust and trail debris.

Our Thoughts
Choose the Flow EX3 when rim strength and air retention matter more than keeping weight to an absolute minimum. It is particularly well suited to gravity riding, heavier e-MTBs and riders who regularly damage lighter trail rims.
