Description

Genuine FOX rear-shock eyelet bushings for replacing worn or damaged bushes.

Shock eyelet bushings provide the bearing surface for the reducers, pin or other mounting hardware that connects the rear shock to your frame. When they wear, you may notice movement at the eyelet, creaking or a knock from the rear suspension.

This listing includes individual replacement bushings for compatible FOX shocks. It is not a complete mounting-hardware kit, so reducers, pins, spacers and frame-specific hardware are not included unless the selected option clearly states otherwise.

Available Options

  • 003-01-001-A / 803-01-639: Metal DU eyelet bushing for compatible two-piece reducer hardware
  • 803-01-640: Polymer flanged eyelet bushing for compatible FOX mounting-hardware systems

Before You Order

FOX has used several eyelet and mounting-hardware systems across its rear-shock range. Check the exact shock model, year and eyelet style before ordering. A bushing that looks similar is not necessarily the correct one.

Your frame hardware also needs to be checked separately. The frame mounting width and bolt diameter are determined by the bike frame, while the correct bushing is determined by the shock eyelet and mounting-hardware system.

Use the shock serial number or four-digit product code in the FOX Bike Tech Help Centre to identify your shock, then match the selected part number to the existing bushing or the FOX parts drawing.

Fitting Notes

These are press-fit parts. They should be removed and installed with the correct bushing tool or a suitable press, taking care not to damage the shock eyelet. If there is any uncertainty, this is a quick job for a suspension technician or bike workshop.

Our Thoughts

A worn eyelet bushing is a small part, but it can make a bike feel rougher than it should. If there is clear play at the shock eyelet, it is worth checking before it damages the eyelet or gets mistaken for a worn frame bearing. Just make sure the problem is actually at the shock mount and order the right bushing for the shock.
