Genuine FOX direct-mount mud guards for selected 36, 38, 40 and Podium forks.
A proper direct-mount guard keeps more spray off your face and away from the fork crown and seals when the trails are wet. These FOX guards bolt directly to compatible lower legs using the fork’s dedicated mounting points, giving a much tidier and more secure fit than a universal strap-on guard.
The correct guard is determined by your fork model and model year. They are not universal across all FOX forks.

Before You Order
Check your fork’s exact model and year before ordering. The 2021–2025 guards do not fit earlier FOX forks, and the redesigned 2026+ 36 and 36 SL guards are model-specific.
For model-year 2024 and newer FOX Rhythm forks, select the 2025-and-earlier option. Do not choose by stanchion diameter alone.
Use your fork’s serial number or four-digit product code in the FOX Bike Tech Help Centre to confirm the model year and lower-leg specification.
Our Thoughts
A direct-mount guard is one of the most worthwhile small additions for a trail or enduro bike, particularly through a Christchurch winter. The short version keeps the front of the bike tidy, while the long and XL versions give better coverage when the tracks are properly wet. Just make sure you match it to the right FOX lower legs.
