Genuine FOX Kabolt X parts for converting or replacing a compatible 15 x 110mm Boost fork axle.

Kabolt X replaces the quick-release lever with a bolt-on axle, giving a cleaner front end and a small weight saving. It is designed around FOX’s floating-axle and pinch-bolt system, which allows the lower legs to settle into their low-friction position after the wheel is fitted.

This listing includes the complete axle assembly and a separate Kabolt X hardware option. Select carefully, as the hardware kit is not a complete axle.

Before You Order

Kabolt X is for selected FOX 36 and 38 forks from 2022 onwards with the compatible floating-axle lower-leg design. It does not fit every FOX 36 or 38 fork and is not interchangeable with standard Kabolt, 15QR or older 15 x 110mm axle systems.

Check your current axle, fork model and model year before ordering. Use the fork serial number or four-digit product code in the FOX Bike Tech Help Centre to confirm the correct axle assembly and hardware.

Fitting Notes

Installation requires a 6mm hex key. Fit the wheel, tighten the axle to the torque value etched on the axle head, compress the fork a few times to let the lower legs settle, then tighten the drive-side pinch bolt to the fork’s specified torque.

The pinch bolt is part of the fork lower leg and is not included with the axle or hardware kit.

Our Thoughts

Kabolt X is a tidy option if you do not need a quick-release lever for regular wheel removal. It is simple, secure and works well on a compatible FOX 36 or 38 fork, but axle fitment is exact, so check first rather than ordering by axle diameter alone.
