Supportive Synchwire™ Construction
The one-piece Synchwire™ upper uses a thermo-bonded exo-structure to provide support without relying on bulky seams or overlapping panels.

Precise Dual-Zone Adjustment
Two BOA® L6 dials independently control different areas of the shoe. Each dial provides precise 1mm tightening increments, allowing riders to adjust the fit without making large changes in tension.
The macro-release function opens the closure quickly when removing the shoes. Separate adjustment zones also make it easier to secure the heel and midfoot without overtightening the forefoot.

Our Thoughts on the Giro Sector W
The Sector W is the shoe we’d recommend to riders who want a genuine performance upgrade from a more flexible recreational mountain bike shoe. The carbon-composite plate feels noticeably firmer when climbing or pushing harder, while the two BOA® dials give you much better control over how the shoe fits across the foot.
The rubber outsole still provides useful grip when you need to walk, although this is primarily a riding shoe rather than one designed for extended time off the bike. The option to fit toe spikes is worthwhile for wet cross-country and cyclocross racing, particularly when courses include muddy run-ups.
As with any firmer performance shoe, getting the sizing, arch support and cleat position right makes a real difference. Once properly set up, the Sector W provides an efficient and secure connection with the pedals without becoming impractical away from the bike.
