The Sinch Jaunt EZ 2 is a comfortable step-through e-bike built for commuting, recreational riding and longer days exploring New Zealand cycle trails. Shimano EP600 Mid-Drive Motor
The Shimano EP600 motor provides smooth support through the cranks, giving the bike a natural feel as you pedal. With up to 85Nm of torque, it has the strength needed for Christchurch winds, steeper hills and longer rides with luggage.
Assistance is delivered according to your pedalling rather than through a throttle. Different support settings let you balance motor assistance against battery range depending on the route and how much effort you want to contribute.
Removable 630Wh Shimano Battery
The 630Wh Shimano battery gives the Jaunt EZ 2 enough capacity for commuting, weekend rides and many of New Zealand’s popular cycle trails. It can be removed for charging or security, which is useful if the bike is stored away from a power point.
Actual range will vary with assistance level, terrain, wind, temperature, rider weight, tyre pressure and how much gear you are carrying.
Comfortable Step-Through Frame
The low step-through frame makes the Jaunt EZ 2 easier to mount and dismount than a conventional high-top-tube bike. This is especially useful when stopping regularly, carrying gear or for riders who have limited hip or knee mobility.
The upright riding position is comfortable for relaxed trips and gives good visibility in traffic. A dropper seatpost lets you lower the saddle from the handlebar, making it easier to put your feet down at a stop or step off the bike.
Air Suspension for Rougher Surfaces
The SR Suntour NVX32 air fork provides 80mm of suspension travel to take the edge off potholes, gravel roads and uneven cycle trails. Air pressure can be adjusted to suit the rider, while the lockout is useful when you want a firmer feel on smooth roads.
A Boost thru-axle helps keep the front end secure and gives the bike more precise steering than a basic quick-release suspension fork.
Durable Shimano CUES Gearing
The Shimano CUES 9-speed drivetrain uses LinkGlide components developed for smooth shifting and long service life under the higher loads produced by an e-bike motor.
The gearing provides practical options for climbing and everyday riding without adding unnecessary complexity. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes give consistent stopping power in changing weather and require less hand effort than mechanical brakes.
Wide Maxxis Tyres
Maxxis Ikon 27.5 x 2.35-inch tyres add grip, stability and cushioning on sealed roads, gravel and compact trails. EXO sidewall protection helps reduce damage from sharp rocks and trail debris, while the tubeless-ready construction gives you the option of converting the wheels to tubeless.
