The Sinch Jaunt EZ 3.5 Auto is a comfortable step-through e-bike for commuting, cycle trails and longer recreational rides. Its Shimano EP600 motor provides strong assistance on hills, while the electronic five-speed internal hub can change gears automatically. A low frame, suspension dropper post and 27.5-inch wheels make it easy to get on and easier to manage at low speeds.
Automatic Gears Keep Riding Simple
The Shimano Di2 system can select gears automatically as your speed and pedalling effort change. It is particularly useful when riding in traffic or on routes with frequent stops, where being caught in the wrong gear can make setting off awkward.
Free Shift allows the bike to change gear while you are coasting. You can also switch to manual control whenever you prefer to choose the gears yourself.
Low-Maintenance Internal Gearing
The Shimano Nexus five-speed hub keeps the working parts of the gears enclosed inside the rear hub. This protects them from dirt, water and everyday knocks while giving the bike a cleaner and simpler drivetrain.
Five gears may not sound like many, but the ratios are chosen to work with the motor and suit the way this bike will be used. For commuting, cycle trails and recreational riding, it provides the range most riders need without unnecessary overlap.
Strong Shimano EP600 Assistance
The Shimano EP600 mid-drive motor produces 85Nm of torque, providing plenty of help on hills, into headwinds and when the rear carrier is loaded.
The New Zealand model provides pedal assistance up to 45km/h. The motor adds support only while you are pedalling and does not propel the bike on its own.
Easy to Get On and Off
The full step-through frame has a low opening, so there is no high top tube to swing a leg over. This makes the Jaunt a good option for riders with limited hip or knee movement, or anyone who simply wants easier access.
The suspension dropper post lowers from the handlebar and adds some cushioning over rough surfaces. Together, these features make stopping, starting and placing your feet on the ground much easier.
Comfort on Roads and Cycle Trails
The SR Suntour X1 Air fork provides 100mm of travel and can be adjusted to suit rider weight. Rebound adjustment controls how quickly it returns after a bump, while the lockout firms the fork on smooth roads.
Maxxis Metropass AT 27.5 x 2.4-inch tyres provide a stable feel and plenty of grip. They are tubeless-ready, have EXO puncture protection and include reflective sidewalls.
Equipped for Everyday Riding
Alloy mudguards, a kickstand and an MIK HD rear carrier are fitted as standard. The carrier is rated to 27kg and accepts compatible panniers, baskets and other MIK accessories.
A 90-lux front light and sensor-operated rear brake light run from the main battery. Alloy platform pedals are also included.

The Jaunt EZ 3.5 Auto is one of the easiest bikes in the Sinch range to get on and ride. The combination of a low step-through frame, automatic gears and a lowering saddle makes it far less awkward to handle when stopping or setting off.
The five-speed Nexus hub suits the way this bike will be used. It does not offer the same number of ratios as a wide-range mountain-bike drivetrain, but it is protected, tidy and straightforward to operate. For commuting, cycle trails and general recreational riding, that simplicity is likely to matter more than having a long list of gears.
At 28.9kg including the battery, it is not a bike we would recommend carrying upstairs regularly. It also leans more towards comfort and ease of use than sporty handling. If those are your priorities, the Jaunt EZ 3.5 Auto is a strong option.
