The Kids Ride Shotgun Pro Gen 2 lets your child experience mountain biking from a central position between your arms. Its rail mounts between the headset and seatpost, avoiding contact with the bike frame.
Designed for children approximately 2–5 years old and weighing 12–27kg, the Pro Gen 2 has an adjustable fit that can be changed as your child grows.
Fast to Fit and Remove
After the initial installation, the quick-release system allows the seat to be fitted or removed in approximately 15 seconds. Two headset spacers are included, making it easier to move the seat between two compatible bikes.
The Gen 2 design also features improved headset compatibility, a lower saddle position and a grippier scooped saddle.
Fully Adjustable Fit
The saddle position, leg width and footpeg height can be adjusted to suit your child and bike. Seven leg-length positions provide room to adapt the seat as your child grows.
The adjustable leg width makes the Pro suitable for many electric mountain bikes with wide down tubes, as well as regular mountain bikes.
Bike Compatibility

- Requires 10mm of clearance beneath the stem
- Requires a stem at least 50mm long, or additional clearance with a shorter stem
- Requires 14mm of available seatpost space
- Compatible with 30.9mm, 31.6mm and 34.9mm seatposts
- A separate spacer is required for 27.2mm seatposts
- Compatible with most dropper posts when correctly installed
Separate adaptors are required for selected Trek Knock Block, Scott Syncros and internally routed headset systems. The seat is not compatible with quill stems or most rigid road and gravel bikes.
