Playful 27.5-Inch Enduro Bike Built for Technical Trails.
The Kona Process 153 27.5 is a lively, hard-charging enduro bike for riders who value agility and control on steep, technical terrain. Its smaller 27.5-inch wheels make it quick to change direction, easy to move around underneath you and well suited to tight trails where precise handling matters.
A 153mm-travel Kona aluminium frame is paired with a 160mm RockShox Yari RC fork and RockShox Deluxe Select Plus rear shock. The result is a capable suspension platform that can handle rough descents while retaining the playful character the Process range is known for.
153mm of Proven Kona Suspension
The Kona Process frame uses 6061 butted aluminium and provides 153mm of rear-wheel travel. It has enough suspension for roots, rocks and repeated hits without losing the responsive feel that makes the bike enjoyable on tighter trails.
Up front, the 160mm RockShox Yari RC uses a DebonAir spring and Motion Control damper. The RockShox Deluxe Select Plus trunnion-mounted rear shock keeps the back of the bike composed when the trail gets rough.
Agile 27.5-Inch Handling
The 27.5-inch wheels are a big part of this bike’s character. They accelerate quickly, change direction easily and give the rider plenty of room to move on steep sections. This makes the Process 153 a good option for riders who find larger-wheeled enduro bikes harder to manage or simply prefer a more playful ride.
WTB ST i30 TCS 2.0 rims provide a wide, supportive platform for the Maxxis tyres. A 2.5-inch Assegai up front supplies dependable cornering grip, while the 2.4-inch Minion DHR II rear tyre balances braking traction with manageable rolling resistance.
Wide-Range Shimano Drivetrain
The Shimano Deore 11-speed drivetrain is straightforward, reliable and well suited to hard trail riding. Its 30-tooth chainring and wide-range 11–51T SunRace cassette provide a useful climbing gear for getting back to the top without adding unnecessary complication.
Ready for Steep Descents
Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes provide predictable braking with a consistent lever feel. A TranzX internal dropper post lets you lower the saddle before technical descents, giving you more room to move and better control when the trail steepens.

Who Is This Bike For?
The Process 153 27.5 is a strong choice for riders who want a capable enduro bike without the longer, more planted feel of a 29er. It is particularly well suited to tight technical trails, steep descents, jump lines and riders who like to move the bike around rather than simply plough through everything.
If outright rollover speed and maximum stability are your priorities, a 29-inch enduro bike may suit you better. If you prefer a more agile bike that is easy to place on the trail, the 27.5-inch Process makes a lot of sense.
Our Thoughts
The Process 153 has always been more about enjoying the trail than chasing numbers on a specification sheet. This version keeps that character with its compact wheels, sensible suspension package and dependable Shimano drivetrain.
The RockShox Yari is a sturdy fork that suits the bike’s intentions, while the Assegai and Minion DHR II tyre combination gives it the grip needed for loose, steep and technical riding. It is a particularly good option for riders who want a long-travel bike that still feels lively through corners and on jumpier trails.
