Sinch Mode AT 3.5 Auto – Metallic White
The Sinch Mode AT 3.5 Auto is a well-equipped all-terrain e-bike for commuting, longer recreational rides and exploring gravel roads or cycle trails. It shares the strong Shimano EP600 motor and 630Wh battery used by the Mode AT 2.5, then adds automatic Di2 shifting, a better 120mm air fork and a suspension dropper post. It is the model to look at if you want the capability of the Mode range with less to think about while riding.
Automatic Shifting Takes Care of the Gears
Shimano CUES Di2 can select gears automatically as your speed and pedalling effort change. This is particularly useful around town, where frequent stops can otherwise leave you in the wrong gear when it is time to move again.
Free Shift lets the system change gear while you are coasting, and a manual override remains available when you want to make the decisions yourself. You are not locked into using the automatic mode.
Strong Shimano EP600 Assistance
The Shimano EP600 motor produces 85Nm of torque, giving the Mode AT 3.5 Auto plenty of help on steep hills, into headwinds and when carrying additional weight.
The New Zealand model provides pedal assistance up to 45km/h. The motor adds support only while you are pedalling and does not propel the bike by itself.
A Battery Suited to Longer Rides
The removable 630Wh Shimano battery is large enough for longer commutes and weekend rides without making the bike unnecessarily bulky. It can be charged while fitted to the bike or removed and charged separately.
Range will depend on the terrain, support mode, rider weight, weather and how much gear you are carrying. Riders using higher assistance on hilly routes will use the battery more quickly.
More Control on Rougher Surfaces
The SR Suntour X1 Air fork is a worthwhile step up from the coil fork fitted to the Mode AT 2.5. It provides 120mm of travel and can be adjusted to suit rider weight, helping the front wheel stay composed on potholes, gravel and rough cycleways.
Rebound adjustment controls how quickly the fork returns after an impact, while the lockout firms it for smoother roads.
A More Comfortable Way to Stop
The suspension dropper post combines two useful functions. It provides some movement to take the edge off rough surfaces and can also lower the saddle using a handlebar control.
Lowering the saddle makes it easier to place your feet on the ground at intersections or when stopping on uneven terrain. Dropper travel is matched to the frame size.
Ready for Commuting and Exploring
Maxxis Metropass AT 29 x 2.4-inch tyres provide grip and comfort across sealed roads, gravel and hard-packed trails. They are tubeless-ready, use EXO puncture protection and have reflective sidewalls.
Alloy mudguards, integrated lights, a kickstand and an MIK HD rear carrier are fitted as standard. The rear carrier is rated to 27kg and works with compatible panniers, baskets and other MIK accessories.

Why Riders Love the Sinch Mode AT 3.5 Auto
The Mode AT 3.5 Auto suits riders who want a capable everyday e-bike without needing to think about every gear change. It is comfortable on mixed surfaces, well equipped for transport and has enough motor power for hilly routes.
Automatic Gear Selection
The bike can choose its own gears, which makes stopping, starting and dealing with changing terrain easier.
Manual Control When You Want It
Automatic shifting can be overridden, so experienced riders can still select their preferred gear.
Strong on Hills
The 85Nm motor provides plenty of assistance for steeper roads, headwinds and loaded riding.
Better Front Suspension
The 120mm air fork can be adjusted for rider weight and offers more control than the coil fork fitted to the Mode AT 2.5.
Easier Stops and Starts
The dropper post lowers the saddle when needed, while its suspension function adds comfort over rough surfaces.
Ready from Day One
Lights, mudguards, a carrier, a kickstand and alloy pedals are included, so the bike does not need a long list of extras before it can be used.
Who Is This Bike For?
Perfect For
✔ Daily commuting

✔ Riders living in hillier areas
✔ Riders wanting automatic gear changes
✔ Anyone who wants easier footing when stopped
✔ Carrying panniers, shopping or work equipment
Our Thoughts on the Sinch Mode AT 3.5 Auto
The Mode AT 3.5 Auto is the most complete bike in the Mode AT range. The automatic shifting is easy to use and makes a real difference in stop-start riding, but we like that Shimano still gives you the option to change gears manually.
The 120mm air fork is another meaningful upgrade. It can be set for the rider and does a better job of controlling the front wheel on rough surfaces than the simpler coil fork fitted to the Mode AT 2.5. The suspension dropper post also adds comfort while making the bike easier to handle when stopped.
At 28.2kg including the battery, it is still a substantial bike. We would not choose it if it needed to be carried upstairs every day, but it is slightly lighter than the Mode AT 2.5 despite its extra equipment. For riders with ground-level storage who want automatic shifting, strong hill-climbing support and plenty of everyday equipment, the Mode AT 3.5 Auto is the pick of the range.
