Muc-Off Anti-Seize Copper Compound is designed to help prevent threaded connections and tight metal joints from corroding or seizing together. Applied during assembly, it creates a protective barrier that makes components easier to remove when they eventually require servicing or replacement.
The copper-based formula helps reduce contact corrosion and friction on suitable steel, titanium and aluminium connections. It is particularly useful around bottom bracket threads, headset threads, thru-axles and other metal fasteners exposed to water, road spray or harsh riding conditions.

Why Use Muc-Off Anti-Seize Copper Compound?
Moisture and corrosion can cause threaded components to bind together over time, particularly on bikes regularly exposed to wet roads, mud or coastal conditions. Applying an appropriate anti-seize compound during assembly helps protect these connections and makes future servicing considerably easier.
It performs a different job from ordinary bicycle grease. Bio Grease is primarily used for lubrication and water resistance around bearings, threads and general component assembly. Anti-Seize Copper Compound is particularly focused on preventing corrosion and seizure between suitable threaded connections and tight metal joints.
How to Use
Begin with clean, dry threads or component surfaces. Remove old grease, corrosion and contamination before applying the compound.
Apply a small, even amount to the appropriate threaded connection or metal interface, then assemble the component according to the manufacturer’s instructions and recommended torque setting. Wipe away any excess compound after assembly.
Our Thoughts
This is most useful for workshop servicing and bike assembly where you want to avoid discovering a seized bottom bracket, thru-axle or threaded component several years later.
The 450g container is a workshop-sized option, so it makes the most sense for frequent home mechanics or professional workshops. For occasional maintenance, only a small amount is required at each connection.
The important part is using it in the correct place. We would not automatically apply copper compound to every crank, seatpost or carbon interface. Check the component manufacturer’s instructions first because some areas require grease, thread-locking compound or carbon assembly paste instead.

Although the formula does not attack carbon, plastic or rubber, this does not mean it replaces carbon assembly paste or another product specified by the component manufacturer.
