Why Use a Dedicated Drivetrain Brush?
Your drivetrain collects a mixture of chain lubricant, dirt and road or trail grime that a soft frame-cleaning brush isn't designed to deal with.
The different sections of the Claw Brush let you work around cassette sprockets, chainrings and other tight areas without using the same soft brush you use on your frame.
How to Use
Apply a suitable drivetrain cleaner and allow it time to work according to the cleaner's instructions.
Use the scraper to loosen heavier deposits, then work around the cassette, chainrings and other drivetrain components with the appropriate brush head. Rinse thoroughly with clean water when finished.
Once the drivetrain is clean and dry, apply your chosen chain lubricant.
Our Thoughts
This is one of the more useful brushes to have if you clean your own bike regularly. A cassette can look reasonably clean from the outside while still having plenty of oily grime sitting between the sprockets, and that's where the narrower brushes come into their own.
We'd keep this brush specifically for the drivetrain rather than using it on the frame. Once a brush has been through a dirty cassette and chain, you don't really want to take that same oily grit anywhere near your paintwork.

Allow hot components to cool before cleaning and use warm rather than boiling water. Take care around delicate finishes and keep drivetrain cleaning products away from brake pads and rotors.
