Muc-Off Big Bore Lite Tubeless Valves use a straight-through internal design to provide considerably more airflow than a conventional Presta tubeless valve. Muc-Off claims up to 230% higher airflow, helping you get air into the tyre quickly when setting up a tubeless system.
Instead of a conventional removable valve core, the Big Bore Lite uses an integrated stainless steel ball valve. This leaves a much clearer path through the valve for air and sealant, helping reduce the clogging that can happen when tubeless sealant builds up around a traditional valve core.
An integrated lever lets you quickly open and close the valve, as well as make smaller pressure adjustments when you're out riding. The valve body is CNC machined from 7075 aluminium and the complete system is fully serviceable.

Why Choose Muc-Off Big Bore Lite Tubeless Valves?
The main advantage is airflow. Getting a large volume of air into a tubeless tyre quickly helps push the beads against the rim and can make initial setup considerably easier.
The straight-through design is also useful if you've had conventional Presta valve cores clog with sealant. With the valve core removed from the airflow path, there's much more room for both air and sealant to pass through.

Our Thoughts
A normal tubeless valve works perfectly well for plenty of bikes, so we wouldn't suggest replacing a good set just for the sake of it.
Where the Big Bore Lite makes sense is if you're regularly setting up tubeless tyres, running higher-volume MTB or gravel tyres or you're simply tired of cleaning sealant out of Presta valve cores.
We particularly like the straight-through design when seating tyres. More airflow makes the job easier, and being able to add sealant without pulling a valve core out is handy when you're topping up an existing setup.
Choose the valve length to suit your rim depth rather than automatically going for the longest option.
