Precise BOA® fit, efficient clipped-in pedalling and durable protection for hard trail riding.
The Ride Concepts Men’s Hellion Clip BOA® MTB Shoes are built for riders who want the security and efficiency of clipless pedals without sacrificing the durability, protection and walkability needed for proper mountain biking.
A lightweight bonded Cordura® upper keeps the shoe breathable and hard-wearing, while the PerformFit™ Wrap from the BOA® Fit System provides a secure, micro-adjustable fit that can be refined while riding. It is a capable shoe for trail, enduro and e-MTB riders who want to pedal efficiently, descend confidently and keep riding when the trail gets rough.
Precise BOA® Fit
The BOA® Li2 dial allows multidirectional adjustment for tightening or loosening, giving you easy fit changes on the bike. Its low-friction TX4 lace works with the PerformFit™ Wrap to provide a secure, even fit designed to support efficient power transfer.
A BOA® Dial Shield bayonet adds durability around the dial, while the fully gusseted tongue helps keep the fit snug and prevents the tongue from shifting during a ride.
Efficient Clipless Pedalling
The RC PowerDrive nylon shank provides lateral stiffness to support efficient pedalling. A 40 mm cleat box gives plenty of adjustment range, with index markings to help position your cleats accurately.
The ClipGrip rubber outsole uses a hexagon tread pattern with reverse hex relief at the toe and heel, providing grip and traction when pushing or carrying your bike on steeper climbs and descents.
Protection for Demanding Trails
Integrated D3O® pads protect the top of the foot, while the D3O® High Impact Zone insole helps absorb repeated impacts and reduce fatigue. An asymmetrical collar offers added protection around the inside ankle, and a TPU mud guard helps defend the upper from dirt, debris and trail rubbing.

The Hellion Clip BOA® is for trail, enduro and e-MTB riders who use clipless pedals and want a supportive shoe with dependable off-bike grip. It suits riders who value easy fit adjustment, efficient pedalling and extra protection for rough, technical trails.
Our Thoughts
This is a properly trail-focused clipless shoe. The BOA® system makes fit adjustment straightforward, while the longer cleat box provides useful room to fine-tune foot position. The combination of D3O® protection, Cordura® reinforcement and a walkable outsole makes it a strong option for riders who pedal up before riding challenging descents.
