The Burgtec Ride High Josh Bryceland Signature Alloy Handlebar is made for riders who want a more upright cockpit without stacking a large number of spacers beneath the stem.
Developed with Josh “Ratboy” Bryceland, it combines an 800mm width with Burgtec’s familiar 9° backsweep and 5° upsweep. Four rise options let you choose how much additional bar height you need.
Choose the Right Rise
- 38mm: A moderate increase over a conventional trail or enduro handlebar
- 50mm: A noticeable rise for a more upright position and additional front-end height
- 65mm: A high-rise option for steep riding, freeride builds and riders needing considerably more cockpit height
- 80mm: The tallest option for riders deliberately building a very high cockpit
Handlebar rise changes both fit and weight distribution. More rise can create a more upright position and make it easier to move behind the bike on steep terrain, but too much height may reduce pressure through the front tyre on flatter trails and climbs.
800mm Width with Cut Marks
The handlebar is supplied at 800mm wide and can be shortened using the marked cutting guides. We recommend riding it at full width before making any changes, as a cut handlebar cannot be returned to its original width.
Check that there is enough straight section for the controls before cutting. Both sides must be shortened evenly and the ends should be finished carefully.
35mm Clamp Only
Every Ride High option uses a 35mm stem clamp. It is not compatible with a 31.8mm stem and must never be adapted using makeshift shims.

Our Thoughts
The Ride High is useful when a standard-rise handlebar leaves the front of the bike feeling too low. It gives you a cleaner way to add cockpit height than stacking excessive spacers under the stem, particularly on downhill and freeride builds.
We would not automatically choose the tallest option. The 38mm and 50mm versions will suit more conventional setups, while the 65mm and 80mm bars are best treated as deliberate fit changes. Stem height, frame stack, fork steerer length and riding style all need to be considered together.
Start at the full 800mm width, set the bar roll carefully and ride the bike before cutting it down. Small adjustments to bar rotation can noticeably change the position of the grips.
