The Selle Italia SLR Carbon is a premium road saddle for riders building a lightweight bike or chasing a more direct, race-focused feel. It retains the familiar compact SLR shape, then pairs it with ultra-light carbon rails and handmade padding placed only where it is needed.

A proper race saddle, not a stripped-back compromise

At 122 g in the L3 size, the SLR Carbon is seriously light, but it is not simply a bare carbon shell with a cover added on. Selle Italia uses a handmade lightweight pad to provide support at the key contact points, keeping the saddle efficient and direct while giving it the comfort needed for real road riding.

Compact SLR shape

The modern SLR silhouette is 242 mm long and gives a stable platform for hard pedalling, climbing and riding on the drops. Its neutral anatomical shape suits a broad range of riding positions, including dynamic riders who rotate their pelvis forward and riders with a more static position. It is a high-performance shape, but it does not lock you into one place on the bike.

Superflow pressure relief

The Superflow cut-out reduces pressure through the perineal area, particularly useful when spending long periods in a lower, more forward position. It helps the SLR Carbon remain comfortable without adding unnecessary bulk or extra padding across the entire saddle.

Carbon rails: check compatibility first

The carbon rails use an updated lay-up and rail angle to balance stiffness, low weight and vibration absorption. They measure 7 × 9 mm, rather than the standard 7 mm round profile. Your seatpost must be approved for oversized oval carbon rails or use the correct clamp hardware. Please check before ordering, or contact us and we can help confirm compatibility.

The SLR Carbon is for the rider who wants high-end performance without jumping to a fully 3D-printed saddle. It is exceptionally light, has a clean and familiar SLR feel, and the minimal handmade padding gives it a little more real-world usability than a pure carbon perch.
