The Selle Italia SLR Racing Replica is for the road rider chasing a properly lightweight, race-focused saddle. At just 109 g in S3, it is the lightest saddle in the SLR range, built around a compact silhouette, continuous carbon fibre structure and minimal padding placed only where it is needed.
Made for fast road riding
This is a performance saddle first and foremost. The redesigned SLR shape is short at 242 mm and gives a stable, efficient platform for hard efforts, race days and riders who prefer an aggressive road position. It keeps the familiar SLR support but removes unnecessary material to reduce weight and sharpen the feel beneath you.
Carbon fibre skeleton
At the heart of the Racing Replica is a continuous carbon fibre skeleton over-injected into a carbon-reinforced nylon matrix. This creates a very thin, stiff shell that supports strong pedalling without carrying excess bulk. The result is an impressive weight-to-stiffness ratio for riders who notice every gram on a lightweight road build.
Minimal padding, placed properly
A superlight EVA pad is positioned at the main contact points, giving a little comfort where it matters without changing the direct feel of the saddle. It is deliberately minimal. This is not the saddle to choose if you want thick cushioning, but it is a serious option for riders who have their position dialled and want a light, efficient platform.
Superflow pressure relief
The Superflow cut-out reduces pressure through the perineal area when riding in a lower, more forward position. Together with the compact shape, it helps the saddle work well for fast bunch riding, climbing and sustained efforts on the drops.
Check your rail compatibility
The carbon rails measure 7 x 9 mm and have a +10 mm length. They are not the same as a standard 7 mm round rail, so your seatpost must be approved for oversized oval carbon rails or fitted with the appropriate clamp hardware. Choose the right width
