Off-road comfort built for long days on rough trails.
The Selle Italia X-Bow Superflow is an off-road saddle for enduro, trail and eMTB riders who want a more forgiving ride without losing proper support. Its clever rail fixing system allows the shell to flex and move slightly with the terrain, helping take the edge off trail chatter, square edges and the repeated hits that build up over a long ride.
The X-Bow effect
The X-Bow design takes its name from the way the shell is supported around the rails. Rather than feeling completely fixed in place, it can rotate slightly around the rail fixing points. This gives the saddle controlled flex under you, helping it follow your movement and reducing the harshness transmitted through the bike on rough ground.
Comfort for technical riding
Shock absorbers between the shell and rails help reduce vibration, while the Soft-Tek polyurethane cover provides a durable, comfortable finish for regular off-road use. This is not a lightweight XC race saddle. It is made for riders who value support and comfort when the terrain is rough and the climbs are long.
Superflow pressure relief
The Superflow cut-out reduces pressure through the perineal area, especially useful when climbing for long periods or sitting and pedalling on flatter trail sections. The neutral anatomical shape works for both dynamic riders who rotate their pelvis forward and more static riders with a more upright position, making it a versatile choice across different riding styles and eMTB setups.
Easy setup and standard rail compatibility
BRP markings on the saddle make it easier to repeat your preferred fore-and-aft position when fitting it to a bike. The Fec Alloy rails are a standard 7 mm diameter, giving broad compatibility with conventional seatpost clamps. Their strength and flex suit the saddle’s comfort-first off-road brief.
Choose the right width
The S3 measures 145 x 255 mm, while the L3 measures 155 x 255 mm. Correct width matters: the saddle should support your sit bones without getting in the way as you move around the bike. Our Thoughts
The X-Bow Superflow is a sensible choice for riders who spend proper time in the saddle between descents. The extra flex and shock absorption are worthwhile for eMTB, trail and enduro bikes where comfort on climbs and rough traverses matters as much as control on the way down. It is a more substantial saddle, but that is the point.
