The SRX Open Athletic is worth looking at if you want a comfortable saddle but don't want the thicker padding and wider shape of a traditional comfort saddle.
The 150mm width suits a more forward riding position, while the centre cut-out provides plenty of open space through the middle of the saddle for pressure relief.
Our Thoughts
This is the sort of saddle we'd look at for someone riding a fitness bike, commuter or recreational bike where you're leaning forward rather than sitting completely upright.
The large centre cut-out is the obvious feature, particularly if pressure through the middle of your current saddle is causing problems. But we wouldn't choose it for the cut-out alone. The 150mm width still needs to suit your sit-bone width and riding position.
If you're sitting very upright, we'd look at one of Selle Royal's wider Moderate or Relaxed options instead.
