The Specialized Science Club

Specialized Science Club partnered with the German Sports University of Cologne
to run independent, controlled lab tests comparing Future Shock equipped bikes

Diverge 4 is the first alloy bike ever with internal frame
storage.
SWAT is the most advanced internal storage system ever
fitted to a gravel bike. Putting it in an alloy bike was an easy decision.
Making it light, strong, and integrated? Not so easy! But, it sure makes
adventure easy with room for everything from tubes and CO2s to jackets, tools,
and nutrition.
Fatter is Funner
Diverge 4 supports up to 50mm tires (700c), offering massive
grip, fewer flats, and supreme comfort. Developed with input from our Factory
Off-Road Team, the new clearance standard is optimized for high-speed racing
and rough exploration.

Beam Me Up!
A forged beam replaces a traditional alloy tube for maximum
rear clearance.
On alloy Diverge 4 we use a small section of forged alloy on
the chainstay to make it as thin as possible and deliver massive tire
clearance, at a light weight, with our desired stiffness. We route the cable
through the chainstay protector instead of through the chainstay. Tire
clearance and a quiet drivetrain. It’s a match made in gravel heaven.
