The Specialized Levo X Rack system adds useful carrying capacity to compatible Levo 4 and Levo R bikes. Choose the front rack, rear rack or fit both for commuting, trail work, bikepacking and longer rides where carrying everything in a backpack is not ideal.
The racks are sold separately. The front rack carries up to 10kg, while the rear rack carries up to 12kg. Fitting both provides a combined maximum capacity of 22kg, provided neither rack exceeds its individual limit.
Choose the Right Rack
- Front Rack: Mounts to the fork steerer, carries up to 10kg and includes two bottle-cage mounts
- Rear Rack: Fits compatible Levo 4 and Levo R bikes, carries up to 12kg and uses the MIK three-pin system
Check the selected option carefully before ordering. Buying one rack does not include the other.
Front Rack
The front rack mounts through the fork steerer rather than turning with the handlebars like a conventional handlebar bag. This helps keep the load more stable and reduces the effect it has on steering.
Its 10kg capacity provides useful space for camping gear, trail tools or everyday cargo. Two bottle-cage mounts allow additional bottles or compatible bolt-on accessories to be carried alongside the main load.
The front rack is not compatible with the Levo R in size S6.
Rear Rack with MIK Three-Pin Fitment
The rear rack carries up to 12kg and provides a stable platform for compatible luggage. Its MIK three-pin interface allows suitable bags and cargo accessories to be fitted and removed more easily.
MIK accessories use different mounting systems, so check that your chosen bag or basket is compatible with the MIK three-pin interface rather than assuming all MIK products will fit.
Designed for Compatible Levo Bikes
These are model-specific racks rather than universal mountain bike carriers. Specialized lists them for Levo 4 and Levo R bikes, subject to the front-rack S6 restriction.
Check your bike’s exact model, size and configuration before ordering. Installation should follow the Specialized assembly guide, with all mounts tightened to the specified torque.

These racks make a lot of sense for riders who want to use their Levo for more than a normal trail loop. Moving tools, clothing or overnight gear off your back can make longer rides considerably more comfortable.
The main thing is choosing the correct rack and luggage system. The rear rack specifically uses MIK three-pin fitment, while the front rack has its own compatibility restriction on the Levo R S6. We recommend confirming your bike model and planned luggage before ordering.
Load and Installation Advice
Do not exceed the 10kg front or 12kg rear capacity. The combined 22kg figure applies only when the load is divided between both racks without exceeding either individual limit.
Secure the load so it cannot move into the wheels, suspension, controls or drivetrain. Additional weight changes braking, climbing and handling, so start with a lighter load and become familiar with how the bike rides before heading onto technical terrain.
