Specialized P.3 2027
Description

Specialized P.3  2027

The Specialized P.3 is a purpose-built dirt jump bike for riders developing their skills at pump tracks, skateparks and jump lines. Its strong A1 Premium Aluminium frame, Marzocchi Bomber DJ fork, compact single-speed drivetrain and 26-inch wheels create a simple and dependable platform that is easy to maintain and designed to handle repeated hard landings.

Strong A1 Premium Aluminium Frame

The fully butted A1 Premium Aluminium frame balances strength with manageable weight. Its compact geometry provides the clearance and manoeuvrability needed for jumping, pumping and learning tricks.

A tapered head tube, threaded bottom bracket and Boost rear spacing provide modern frame standards, while internal cable routing keeps the bike’s appearance clean.

Marzocchi Bomber DJ Fork

The Marzocchi Bomber DJ fork provides 100mm of travel and is designed specifically for dirt jumping, pump tracks and skatepark riding. Its GRIP damper and Sweep adjustment allow the rider to tune the fork’s support according to riding style and preference.

The fork’s strong chassis helps maintain accurate steering during take-offs, landings and high-load corners.

Simple Single-Speed Drivetrain

A single-speed drivetrain removes derailleurs and shifters, keeping the bike quiet, straightforward and less vulnerable to damage. It also allows riders to concentrate on speed, timing and technique without thinking about gear selection.

The 165mm alloy crankset provides additional ground clearance and suits the compact riding position used for dirt jumping.

Adjustable Sliding Dropouts

Sliding rear dropouts allow the chain tension and rear-centre length to be adjusted. A shorter setting creates more responsive handling, while moving the wheel rearward can increase stability.

The frame can also accept a geared drivetrain, giving riders the option to adapt the bike for different uses in the future.

Controlled Braking

A SRAM DB4 four-piston hydraulic rear brake provides strong and predictable braking with a 160mm rotor. This is particularly useful for controlling speed before jumps and maintaining control on steep roll-ins.

A Tektro mechanical front disc brake provides additional stopping power with simple cable-operated adjustment.

Strong 26-Inch Wheels

The P.Series alloy rims have a 26mm internal width and are paired with sealed-bearing hubs and thru-axles. Their compact 26-inch diameter helps the bike accelerate quickly and makes it easier to move beneath the rider during jumps and tricks.

Specialized Kicker 26 x 2.1-inch tyres use a fast-rolling tread suited to prepared dirt, pump tracks and hard surfaces.

Adaptable P.Series Platform

Although supplied with 26-inch wheels and a fixed seatpost, the P.3 frame is compatible with 27.5-inch wheels, a dropper post and geared drivetrains when fitted with the appropriate compatible components.

This gives riders a strong platform that can be adapted as their riding style changes.

Why Riders Love the Specialized P.3

The Specialized P.3 gives riders a strong and uncomplicated bike for developing jump, pump-track and skatepark skills. Its compact wheels, short cranks and simple drivetrain allow the rider to focus on technique, while the adaptable frame provides useful options for the future.

Why choose a dirt jump bike?
Unlike a trail mountain bike, the P.7 is designed specifically for jumps, pump tracks and technical bike handling. Its compact geometry, singlespeed drivetrain and strong build make it easier to manual, jump and develop skills, while requiring very little maintenance.

Responsive Handling

Compact 26-inch wheels and dirt jump geometry make the P.3 easy to pump, manual and move beneath the rider.

Purpose-Built Suspension

The Marzocchi Bomber DJ is designed specifically for the high loads associated with jumps, landings and pump-track riding.

Mechanical Simplicity

The single-speed drivetrain has fewer moving parts to adjust or damage, helping keep maintenance straightforward.

Strong Rear Braking

The four-piston SRAM DB4 rear brake provides useful control when setting speed for jumps or navigating steep roll-ins.

Adjustable Handling

Sliding dropouts allow riders to fine-tune chain tension and alter the bike’s rear-centre length.

Upgrade Potential

Compatibility with geared drivetrains, dropper posts and 27.5-inch wheels allows the frame to be adapted for different riding styles.

Ready to Ride

Platform pedals are included, and the bike arrives with a complete braking system rather than the rear-brake-only setup found on some dirt jump bikes.

Our Thoughts on the Specialized P.3

The P.3 isn't designed to be an all-round mountain bike—it's designed to make you a better rider. Time spent on a pump track or dirt jumps develops balance, timing and bike control that carries across to every type of mountain biking. Whether you're chasing your first tabletop or simply want a bike that encourages creativity, the P.3 delivers a riding experience that's hard to match.

The A1 aluminium frame is particularly well considered. Adjustable dropouts, Boost rear spacing, a threaded bottom bracket and compatibility with alternative drivetrains give it more flexibility than many dedicated dirt jump frames.

For riders who regularly use jump parks, pump tracks or skateparks, the P.3 provides a durable and well-equipped platform that should continue to suit them as their skills progress.
