Specialized Romin EVO Comp with MIMIC Saddle
Long-nose support for lower, performance-focused riding positions.
The Specialized Romin EVO Comp with MIMIC is a curved, long-nose saddle designed for riders who rotate their pelvis forward in a lower road or gravel position. Its raised rear section provides support behind the sit bones while the longer nose gives you room to move forwards and backwards as your effort changes.
MIMIC technology uses multilayered materials through the centre of the saddle to support sensitive soft tissue without the firm edges sometimes created by a conventional open cut-out. Level 2 padding provides moderate cushioning while maintaining the stable, supportive feel expected from a performance saddle.

Why Choose the Specialized Romin EVO Comp with MIMIC?
The Romin EVO Comp with MIMIC suits riders who prefer a longer saddle and ride in a lower, more performance-focused position. Its curved profile provides more support behind the pelvis than a flatter saddle, helping some riders remain stable without continually sliding forwards.
It also allows more fore-and-aft movement than the shorter Power shape. Riders who prefer a flatter saddle or want greater freedom to move around may be better suited to the Phenom, while those wanting short-nose support should consider the Power.
Free Retül Digital Sit-Bone Measurement
Choosing the correct width is an important first step, but saddle shape and setup also need to suit your riding position. Visit Chain Reaction Christchurch for a free Retül Digital Sit-Bone Measurement, carried out in-store with help from our experienced team.
There is no obligation to buy and the measurement only takes a few minutes. We can also consider your flexibility, pelvic rotation and riding position to help determine whether the curved Romin EVO shape is right for you.
Our Thoughts
The Romin EVO Comp with MIMIC is a good option for riders who sit low and rotate forwards from the pelvis but still want the support and adjustment range of a traditional long-nose saddle. The curved profile helps hold the pelvis in place while MIMIC technology manages pressure through the centre.
This is not automatically the best choice simply because you ride a road bike. Riders with a more upright position or those who prefer a flatter platform may feel better supported by another shape. Correct width, saddle angle and fore-and-aft position remain essential, especially with a curved saddle such as the Romin EVO.
