Epic 9 is designed to turn more of your effort into forward speed. Its Progressive XC Race Geometry balances efficient climbing and sprinting with the control needed for modern technical race courses, fast singletrack and hard descents.
Specialized has reduced frame weight by 206 g compared with the Epic 8 platform while refining the suspension kinematics and reducing friction. The result is a lighter, more efficient bike that remains capable when the course gets rough.
Flight Attendant Suspension
The frameset includes a RockShox SID Ultimate Flight Attendant fork and RockShox SIDLuxe Ultimate Flight Attendant rear shock. The electronic suspension system continuously adjusts between settings to provide a firm, efficient platform when you are pushing hard and active suspension when the trail demands traction and control.
Lightweight Race Foundation
