Description

Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Expert - Shimano GRX Di2

Expected Arrival: Early October 2026

Pre-Order Now

Pre-order your Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Expert today and we will keep you updated as its expected arrival approaches.

The Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Expert blends the speed of an endurance road bike with the control and versatility needed for gravel riding. Its lightweight FACT 11r carbon frame, quiet Turbo SL 1.2 motor and Shimano GRX Di2 drivetrain make climbing and covering long distances easier, while Future Shock 3.3, high-volume tyres and a dropper post provide confidence when the surface becomes rough.

Natural Turbo SL Assistance

The Specialized 1.2 SL motor produces up to 320 watts and 50Nm of torque, providing useful assistance on steep climbs, into headwinds and during long days in the saddle. Its support is delivered across a broad pedalling cadence, helping the bike retain a natural feel rather than overwhelming the rider’s input.

The integrated 320Wh battery keeps weight low and provides a claimed riding time of up to five hours, depending on assistance level, terrain, rider weight and riding conditions.

Lightweight FACT 11r Carbon Frame

The FACT 11r carbon frame combines low weight with the stiffness and durability required for road and gravel riding. At a claimed 13.82kg in size 56, the Turbo Creo 2 Expert remains easy to accelerate, manoeuvre and pedal beyond the assistance limit.

Internal cable routing gives the bike a clean finish, while integrated mudguard and rack mounts allow it to be prepared for commuting, touring or longer unsupported rides.

Future Shock 3.3 Comfort

Future Shock 3.3 provides 20mm of travel beneath the handlebars, helping isolate the rider’s hands and upper body from broken roads, corrugations and repeated gravel impacts. Unlike a conventional suspension fork, it allows the frame and front wheel to remain directly connected for accurate steering.

Its adjustable and tuneable design helps reduce fatigue while improving control during long rides over changing surfaces.

Shimano GRX Di2 Precision

Shimano GRX Di2 provides fast and accurate electronic shifting through controls designed specifically for drop-bar riding on mixed terrain. The 1x12 configuration removes the front derailleur, keeping gear selection simple while reducing clutter around the frame.

A wide-range 10–51T cassette pairs with the 44-tooth chainring to provide climbing gears for steep gravel roads without sacrificing useful speed on sealed sections.

High-Volume Gravel Control

Specialized Tracer 700 x 50c tubeless-ready tyres provide additional cushioning, traction and stability on loose or uneven terrain. Their volume allows riders to use lower pressures for greater comfort and grip while retaining efficient rolling performance on smoother roads.

The frame offers clearance for tyres up to 29 x 2.2 inches, giving riders considerable freedom to tailor the bike for road, gravel or more adventurous mixed-surface routes.

Roval Terra Carbon Wheels

Roval Terra C III carbon wheels reduce rotating weight while providing the width and strength needed for high-volume gravel tyres. Their 27mm internal rim width supports the 50c tyres effectively, improving stability when cornering or riding at lower pressures.

Tubeless-ready construction also allows riders to reduce the risk of pinch flats and improve comfort once the bike has been converted with suitable valves and sealant.

Greater Control with a Dropper Post

The X-Fusion Manic dropper provides 50mm of saddle adjustment from the handlebar. Lowering the saddle creates more room to move on steep descents, loose corners and technical gravel sections.

It can also make stopping and starting easier, particularly when the bike is carrying luggage or the ground is uneven.

MasterMind TCU and Specialized App

The MasterMind TCU displays battery level and essential ride information while providing access to MicroTune assistance adjustments. Riders can make small changes to the motor support while riding, helping balance assistance and battery range more precisely.

Integration with the Specialized app allows riders to personalise motor characteristics, record rides, configure display screens and access system diagnostics. Turbo System Auto-Lock also provides an additional electronic deterrent when the bike is unattended.

Why Riders Love the Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Expert

The Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Expert suits riders who want to travel farther, climb more comfortably and explore beyond sealed roads without giving up the responsive character of a premium drop-bar bike. Its lightweight assistance, generous tyre clearance and capable components make it equally suitable for long road rides, gravel adventures and everyday transport.

Natural Ride Feel

The Turbo SL system adds to the rider’s effort without dominating it, preserving the engagement and rhythm that make road and gravel riding enjoyable.

Long-Distance Capability

Electric assistance helps reduce the impact of steep climbs, headwinds and accumulated fatigue, making ambitious routes and longer days more achievable.

Mixed-Surface Comfort

Future Shock and high-volume tyres absorb repeated vibration and impacts, helping the rider remain comfortable and in control over broken roads and gravel.

Precise Electronic Shifting

Shimano GRX Di2 provides consistent gear changes with minimal lever effort, including when fatigue begins to build during longer rides.

Confident Handling

Progressive geometry, 50c tyres, hydraulic brakes and the dropper post give the bike useful stability and control on loose descents and technical surfaces.

Practical Versatility

Rack and mudguard compatibility allows the Creo 2 Expert to be adapted for commuting, bikepacking, touring or year-round recreational riding.

Premium Upgrade Platform

The FACT 11r carbon frame, Roval carbon wheels and generous tyre clearance provide a high-quality foundation that should require few immediate upgrades.

Who Is This Bike For?

Perfect For

✔ Long-distance road and gravel riding
✔ Steep or hilly routes

Our Thoughts on the Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Expert

The Specialized Turbo Creo 2 Expert is one of the most complete lightweight electric road and gravel bikes in Specialized’s range. Its Turbo SL 1.2 system provides meaningful assistance without making the bike feel unnecessarily heavy, while the FACT 11r frame and Roval Terra carbon wheels preserve the responsive character expected from a premium performance bike.

This Expert build makes particular sense for riders who value Shimano’s GRX Di2 controls and wide-range gearing. Future Shock 3.3, 50c tyres and the dropper post are practical additions that improve comfort and control rather than simply adding specification.

For riders who want one electric drop-bar bike for sealed roads, gravel adventures and long-distance exploring, the Turbo Creo 2 Expert offers an exceptionally versatile package without stepping into flagship S-Works pricing.
