Genuine SRAM Bleed Kit for DB4, DB6, DB8, Maven and Motive Mineral-Oil Brakes.
The SRAM Standard Mineral Oil Bleed Kit V2 includes the syringes, fittings, bleed blocks and hand tools needed to service compatible SRAM mineral-oil hydraulic brakes.
Options are available with or without Maxima mineral brake oil. Check the selected option carefully before ordering.
Brake Fluid Options
- Includes Maxima Mineral Oil: Supplied with SRAM-approved Maxima mineral brake oil
- Excludes Oil: Bleed kit only; mineral brake oil must be purchased separately
Use only SRAM-approved mineral oil in compatible SRAM DB, Maven and Motive brakes.
Keep this kit and its syringes, hoses and fittings separate from equipment used with DOT fluid. Mineral oil and DOT fluid must never be mixed or introduced into the same brake system.

Compatible SRAM Brakes

Maven and Motive use SRAM’s mineral-oil-specific Bleeding Edge fitting. DB-series brakes use the appropriate standard threaded fitting. Always select the correct bleed block and fitting for the brake being serviced.
Not Compatible with SRAM DOT Brakes
This kit is not suitable for SRAM or Avid brakes that specify DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluid. This includes many Code, Guide, G2, Level, Elixir and older Avid brake systems.
Check the brake model and its fluid specification before beginning the bleed. Do not assume that every SRAM brake uses the same fluid.

Before You Begin
Confirm the exact brake model, choose the matching bleed block and follow SRAM’s current service procedure. Brake bleeding requires careful handling to prevent mineral oil from contaminating the brake pads and rotor.
If the lever remains soft after bleeding or there are signs of leaking seals, damaged hoses or sticking pistons, the brake may require further servicing rather than another bleed.
