Stan’s Rolled Gold is a premium tubeless sealant developed for the lower-volume, higher-pressure tyres used on road and gravel bikes. Optimised for pressures between 35 and 100psi, it reacts quickly to punctures while helping retain more air inside the tyre.
The formula builds on Stan’s Original Sealant but is better suited to setups where rapid pressure loss can make it difficult for a conventional sealant to work effectively. It can be poured directly into the tyre or injected through a compatible valve with a removable core.
Made for Road and Gravel
Road and gravel tyres carry less air than mountain bike tyres, so even a small puncture can cause a noticeable pressure drop. Rolled Gold is designed to resist spraying out through the puncture and form a seal quickly.
Its low-viscosity formula maintains an even coating across the tyre’s inner surface. Stan’s states that it can seal punctures up to 7.8mm at 100psi under suitable conditions, although actual performance will depend on the tyre, puncture shape, remaining pressure and riding conditions.
Easy Installation and Efficient Dosing
Rolled Gold can be poured into the tyre during installation or injected through the valve after removing the valve core. The nozzle on the 125ml bottle can be used for direct injection, or you can use a compatible Stan’s Sealant Injector.
The higher-performance formula requires less sealant than many general-purpose products. A 700 × 28c tyre typically requires approximately 35ml, while a 29 × 2.4-inch mountain bike tyre requires approximately 80ml. Always check the recommended amount for your tyre size before installation.
Ongoing Tubeless Maintenance
Rolled Gold can remain liquid inside the tyre for several months, but temperature, tyre construction, storage conditions and riding frequency will affect how quickly it dries. Check the level regularly and top it up when required.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. After adding the sealant, rotate and shake the wheel to distribute it around the complete inner surface of the tyre.

Our Thoughts
Rolled Gold makes sense for riders using tubeless road or gravel tyres at pressures where rapid air loss can overwhelm a standard sealant. The smaller recommended dose also keeps unnecessary rotating weight to a minimum.
Sealant will not repair every puncture. We still recommend carrying a tubeless plug, inflation device and spare tube, particularly on longer rides. Larger cuts or damaged tyre casings may need a plug or temporary internal boot before you can continue.
