The Tifosi Rivet is a lightweight half-frame sports glass with plenty of adjustment through the nosepiece and earpieces. It is well suited to road, gravel and mountain biking, particularly for riders who want an open field of view and the flexibility to fine-tune how their glasses sit beneath a helmet.
Several lens configurations are available, including a three-lens interchangeable set, Fototec light-responsive lenses and reader options. Check the selected variant carefully, as the included lens system varies between models.
Choose the Right Lens
- Blackout with Smoke, AC Red and Clear lenses: Three interchangeable lenses covering bright, overcast and low-light conditions
- Clarion Blue Fototec: A light-responsive lens that changes tint as available light changes, with a water and sweat-repellent Clarion coating
- Light Night Fototec: A light-responsive lens designed for low-light and changeable conditions
- Clarion Red Fototec Reader: A light-responsive lens with a small magnified section for reading a bike computer, available in +1.5 or +2.0 strengths
Fototec lenses respond to UV light, so they may not darken fully when used behind a vehicle windscreen. Reader lenses are intended for riders who need help seeing close-range information and do not replace a complete prescription where one is required.
Fully Adjustable Fit
The nosepiece and earpieces can be shaped to improve stability and comfort. This is particularly useful when matching the glasses to your face, helmet retention system and riding position.
Hydrophilic rubber contact points increase their grip as they become wet, helping the glasses stay in place when you are sweating. The Rivet has a medium-to-large fit, but the adjustable contact points give it more fitting flexibility than a fixed-frame design.
Vented Half-Frame Design
The half-frame construction keeps the lower edge of the lens open, providing an unobstructed view when looking down towards the road, trail or bike computer.
Small lens vents encourage air to move behind the glasses and help reduce fogging during harder efforts. Venting cannot prevent condensation in every combination of temperature, humidity and riding speed, but it gives moisture and warm air a better chance to escape.
Lightweight TR-90 Frame
The Grilamid TR-90 frame is light, flexible and durable enough for regular riding. At approximately 28g, the Rivet is comfortable for longer days without feeling heavy across the nose or behind the ears.
Polycarbonate Lens Protection
The shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Their optically decentered construction helps reduce distortion across the lens, supporting a clearer view when checking the road, trail or surrounding traffic.
The glasses are supplied with a zippered hard case and microfibre cleaning bag for storage and lens care.

The Rivet is a practical choice if you have struggled to get cycling glasses sitting comfortably with your helmet. Being able to adjust both the nosepiece and earpieces makes a real difference, particularly when the helmet retention cradle occupies the same area behind your ears.
For general riding, the three-lens set provides the most flexibility if you do not mind changing lenses yourself. Fototec is more convenient when the light changes during a ride, while the Reader models solve a very specific but common problem for riders who can no longer see their bike computer as clearly as they once could.
Whichever version you choose, make sure the earpieces do not press against the helmet retention system and that the upper frame does not obstruct your view when riding in a lower position.
