The ULAC 52nd Street is a lightweight combination chain lock designed for short stops and lower-risk locations. Its 120cm length gives you enough reach to secure a bike to a suitable fixed object, while the resettable four-digit combination means there is no key to carry or lose.

A nylon sleeve covers the chain to help protect your bike’s paintwork, and the integrated hook-and-loop strap keeps the lock compact when it is not being used.

120cm Chain Length

The 120cm chain provides more flexibility than a short cable or compact lock when securing your bike to racks, posts and other suitable fixed objects. It may also provide enough length to secure two bikes together, depending on their frames and the locking point.

Resettable Combination

The four-digit combination mechanism provides up to 10,000 possible codes. You can set your own number, so there is no separate key to keep track of.

Choose a code you can remember without using an obvious sequence such as 0000 or 1234.

Protective Nylon Sleeve

The chain is covered by a nylon sleeve to reduce scratching and rattling against the bike. This is useful if you carry the lock wrapped around the top tube or seatpost, although it should be secured firmly so it cannot move into the wheel or interfere with your pedalling.

Our Thoughts

This is a convenient lock rather than a heavy-duty security lock. The 4mm chain keeps the weight down and makes it easy to carry, but it is not what we would rely on for leaving an expensive bike unattended for long periods or in a high-risk area.
